Paralympic Worldcup 2011 - Sail for Gold - Weymouth GBR - Day 3
In the three Paralympic classes, only the Sonars sailed yesterday at the Sail-for-Gold Regatta at Weymouth. The 20 kn plus and the heavy chop were too strong for the Skuds and 2.4 m. In the Sonars, John Robertson GBR and his team leads after 5 races, followed by the teams of Udo Hessels NED and Bruno Joudren FRA. Team Rick Doerr USA is on rank 7. In the 2.4 m IJ with 4 races in the books, Thierry Schmitter NED leads tied with Damien Séguin FRA. Andre Rademaker NED is 3rd. Paul Tingley CAN and Mark Leblanc USA are on the ranks 4, resp. 7. In the Skud 18 with only 3 races sailed, Daniel Fitzgibbon/Liesl Tesch AUS ahead of Rickham/Birell GBR and Dunross/Cox AUS. French/Creignou USA are 4th, McRoberts/Hopkin CAN 6th.
