Olympic Worldcup 2011 - Delta Lloyd Regatta - Medemblik NED
Today at 11 a.m. CET, the start to the first Delta-Lloyd Regatta - the fifth event of the 2011 ISAF Olympic Classes Worldcup - will be given on the Ijssel-Meer. Except tomorrow Wednesday, the races will be held in a fresh westerly breeze, according to the wind forecasts. 600 athletes from 61 nations are present in all Olympic Classes plus the Paralympic 2.4 m singlehanded keelboats. Here the entry lists. The top cracks in all classes are present, such as Tom Slingsby AUS in the Lasers, Percy/Simpson GBR in the Starboats or Belcher/Page AUS in the 470s. The only Swiss names on the starting lists are Olivier and Adrien Gremaud SUI in the 470 men and Christoph Bottoni SUI in the Lasers Standard. The official preview.
