In the first Elimination round of the day, Björn Dunkerbeck starting for Switzerland defeated the World Champion Antoine Albeau FRA in a tight finish by some centimeters. Albeau flopped in the second Elimination and could not qualify for the final. A third place was sufficient for Dunkerbeck to take the overall lead before the last heats today.
In the women's competition, Valérie Arrighetti Ghibaudo FRA continued brilliantly extending her lead further.
