Mini 650 - Les Sables - Les Açores - Les Sables, Les Sables d'Olonne FRA - Leg 2, Day 8 - Simon Koster SUI wins leg 2
Shortly after midnight, Simon Koster SUI crossed the finish line of leg 2 at the Sables d'Olonne winning the Series Minis category 41 minutes ahead of Aymeric Belloir FRA, who is the overall winner of the race. Simon Koster SUI had lost 18 hours in the first leg after the collision with a whale. Jonas Gerckens BEL finished 3rd and is in front of Koster overall as well. The winner of leg 1, Justine Mettraux SUI, stays on the 8th position and will most probably finish within the first five overall in spite of the reduced speed of her damaged boat, as all other Series Minis are still underway as well. Only 3 Protos were faster than Koster with his Series Mini: Nicolas Boidevezi FRA was the winner of leg 2, while Aymeric Chappellier FRA, finishing 2nd in the leg classification, take the Protos victory overall.
