The European Champions Fantela/Marencic CRO protected their chances for the Medal Race with a clear start-to-finish victory in race 8, and advanced on rank 9 overall. Calabrese/De La Fuente ARG finished again 2nd and as best of the day, the are on rank 3 overall, at equal points with Zandona/Zucchetti ITA. Belcher/Page AUS remain on top but Patience/Bithell GBR reduced the gap to the Aussies on only one point. McNay/Biehl USA finished race 8 on the 18th place and remain on rank 17 overall.
