Ben Ainslie GBR did what he had to do to win Gold: Cover Jonas Hoegh-Christensen DEN leading with a 2 points advance before the Medal Race from start to finish and arrive just one rank in front of him, i.e. on position 9 with Hoegh on rank 10. The Dane finished 2nd overall with the same number of points as Ainslie. Bronze went to Jonathan Lobert FRA, winner of the Medal Race. No NorAm boats in the Medal Race. Zach Railey USA 12th.
