AC-45 - America's Cup World Series 2012 - Newport RI, USA - Team NZL capsize
The America's Cup World Series have probably the best high-tech media coverage ever available in a sail race. Nevertheless, the film team missed the most important incident of the week, the capsize of the 'Emirates Team New Zealand' AC-45 catamaran. The NZL team could not release the wing-sail in a sudden bear-away manoeuvre and turned over, damaging the hard-sail seriously. In the mean-time, an amateur video has appeared showing the final phase of the capsize.
