The wind filled in with up to 5 bft on the second day of the 2012 Kiel Week, and above all the German boats shined with good performances. In the 49ers, Peters/Fitzgerald GBR defended their lead, but Heil/Plössel GER are now only one point behind. A triple German leads now in the 470 men with the Olympians Gerz/Follmann GER four points in front of Masilge/Klingenberg GER. In the 470 women, Bochmann/Panuschka GER and Lutz/Beucke GER are tied on top. The best Finn is undoubtedly Deniss Karpak EST in front of Brendan Casey AUS and Caleb Paine USA.
