Olympic Classes - ISAF World Rankings - May 31st, 2012, USA 6th in the nations' rankings
As usual at the end of the month, the updated ISAF Olympic Classes World Ranking Lists were published yesterday. Some changes occurred on top of the listings after the April/May World Championships. The new number one in the 49ers are Norregaard/Lang DEN. In the Finns, Deniss Karpak EST took the lead for the first time. In the Lasers Radial, Marit Bouwmeester NED is back on top. Thanks to two double leads in the Windsurfing Classes, Poland remains on top of the nations rankings.
The top North American positions are held by Americans Amanda Clark/ Sarah Lihan 3rd, 470 women, Zach Railey 6th, Finn and Paige Railey 3rd, Laser Radial. With two thirds, USA is now on position 6 of the nations' rankings. On May 16th, Americans Anna Tunnicliffe, Molly Vandemoer, and Debbie Capozzi were recognized as the top ranked women's match racing team. Canada's best are Clarke/Björn 8th in the Starboat, while the top Mexican sailor is Tania Elias Calles 24th, Laser Radial.
