470, Finn, RS:X, 2.4mR, Sonar - Olympic Worldcup 2012 - Medemblik NED - Day 4, Caleb Paine USA leads in the Finn
Leader changes and some thrilling initial situations for today's Medal Races are the result of the races of Friday completed in a good 15 kn breeze. Snow-Hansen/Saunders NZL remain the leaders in the 470 with a 4 points' advantage on Ger/Flannigan IRL. The new leader in the Finns is Caleb Paine USA with Aleksej Selivanov RUS 3 points behind. No news with the RS:X windsurfers where Shahar Zubari ISR is the dominating athlete with 7 wins in 10 races taking the Israeli Olympic ticket with this outstanding performance. Zubari was the Olympic Bronze Medal winner at the 2008 Games in Qingdao. Omer Safer ISR and Louis-Benoit Hug FRA follow on the positions 2 and 3. In the female windsurfers, the duo Jannicke Stalstrom NOR and Victoria Chan HKG shares the lead, Solvig Sayre USA remains 17th. In the Paralympic 2.4 mR, two sailors on top have the same number of points: Thierry Schmitter NED and Megan Pascoe GBR. Third is Helena Lucas GBR three points behind. Paul Tingley CAN remains 5th, Mark Le Blanc USA 6th. In the Sonars, Bruno Jourdren FRA is on the first place 4 points ahead of the day's best Colin Harrison AUS.Bruce Millar CAN and his team stay on the 5th rank.
