Light winds were again prevailing on day three of the Laser Standard Worlds at the Baltic Sea. In abating winds, two more races were sailed, and Tom Slingsby AUS extended his lead with another race win to 9 points. The best of the day Rasmus Mygren SWE (2 and 3 yesterday) is now on 3rd, Andreas Geritzer AUT advanced on rank 3 with the day ranks 1 and 5, tied with the former 2nd Tonci Stipanovic CRO. Out of the title race prematurely is the Olympic Champion Paul Goodison GBR who collected his third penalty for pumping, a DNE (non-discardable) disqualification. Mixed emotions for David Wright CAN, new on rank 5 overall after a discard (rank 21) and a race win yesterday. Charlie Buckingham USA drops on rank 47. The rankings, the daily report and the videos.
