Once again the Lasers guarantee the top competition at Olympic Garda with the largest fleets and the most Olympic medallists of all fleets. Yesterday three races have been sailed, two of them in the early morning, the last one in a late and not very strong Ora, the thermal afternoon winds on Lake Garda. Winning 3 races, Olympic Silver medallist Gintare Scheidt LTU is clearly ahead in the Laser Radial fleet, Fatima Reyes ESP, Francesca Clapcich ITA and Nathalie Brugger SUI are fighting for the remaining podium places. Zhou Daiqing CHN on 7th is leading the 5-boat-strong Chinese delegation while Olympic Bronze medallist Lijia Xu CHN with already three DNF's is back.
In the 63-boats Laser Standard fleet, it's Ivan Taritas CRO on top of the rankings after five races followed by Michele Regolo ITA and Giacommo Bottoli ITA fighting for the Italian Olympic selection. Olympic Bronze medallist Diego Romero ITA moved up to 8 by winning the last two races of the day.
