RS:X-Windsurfing - Men - Olympic Games - Race 10, Plavsic CAN Medal Race
The RS:X men just finished their 10th and last qualification race in a decreasing breeze. The light-wind specialist Shahar Zubari ISR was the winner, but the 2008 Olympic medalist was not at ease during the whole competition and finished on the disappointing 19th place, far outside the Medal Race. Dorian Van Rijsselberge NED refrained from starting to race 10, as he has such an advantage that is already the overall winner and Olympic Champion 2012. However, he will be obliged to show up in the Medal Race on next Tuesday. In the fight for Silver and Bronze, Nick Dempsey GBR is favored after his 2nd race rank. He is now 11 points in front of Toni Wilhelm GER. The German will have to fight against Przemyslav Miarczyinski POL, who is only 5 points behind, to take the Bronze Medal. All other drivers are without chances for a medal, including Zach Plavsic CAN on rank 8. All ranking lists.
