IMOCA Open 60 - Transat Jacques Vabre - News von Bernard Stamm SUI
Bernard Stamm SUI had - as reported - abandoned the Transat Jacques Vabre as leader when his 'Cheminées Poujoulat' suffered a major water inrush. Towed in an emergency action to the Azores island San Miguel, the examination of the yacht lifted out of the water revealed that the collision with an unidentified object caused the 1.5 meter leak in the hull. Today, 'Cheminées Poujoulat' will be loaded on a cargo vessel and brought back to Brest FRA for the repair. The report.
