Laser - Olympic Test Event 2011 - Weymouth GBR - Day 3
A new depression over the British islands brought for the first time a fresh breeze of over 20 kn, ideal conditions for Tom Slingsby AUS and Marit Bouwmeester NED, both extending their leads. In the Laser Standard, Slingsby AUS and Rutger Van Schaardenburg NED are the superior leaders with the day ranks 1 and 2. The Australian World Champion is now 5 points ahead of Andrew Murdoch NZL. Van Schaardenburg is new on rank 3.
Marit Bouwmeester NED is already 18 points ahead in the Lasers Radial. Annalise Murphy IRL is 2nd and the tied Krystal Weir AUS and Evi Van Acker BEL follow on rank 3.
After six races (and the discard in effect), the Lasers have their layday today. The official report.
