Laser - Radial Men & Youth Standard - World Championship 2011 - La Rochelle FRA - Day 2, the Swiss
The windy condition prevailed also on day 2 with 2-meter waves and a 20 kn plus breeze, and the heavy weather specialist continued to control the races. In the Radial men, Elliott Hansen GBR and Yuri Hummel NED share the lead one point ahead of Marcin Rudawski POL (with two bullets yesterday) and Jules Ferrer FRA. With the discard coming into effect, Jonathan Schopfer SUI is now on the 47th place of the 130 participants.
In the Standards youth, a trio with 1 and 2 rankings exclusively is on top with the same number of points, i.e Sam Meech NZL, Martin Evans GBR and Andrew Mills-Burton GBR, two points ahead of Matthias Sailer AUT and Jack Wetherell GBR. Guillaume Girod SUI (yesterday ranks 3 and 4) is on the good 9th position of the 147 athletes. The report of the day.
