Tomorrow Sunday at 1 p.m. CET, the start to leg 1 of the Solitaire du Figaro, the most important solo regatta of the Bénéteau-Figaro class, will be given. 37 participants from 7 nations are on the entry list, among them the three women Jeanne Grégoire FRA, Isabelle Joschke GER/FRA and Kristin Songe-Möller NOR. Numerous favorites can be detected on the list, such as the Vendée-Globe- experienced Yann Eliès FRA, the former Solitaire winners Gildas Morvan FRA, Fred Duthill FRA or Fabien Delahaye FRA. The 1'450 miles race leads in three legs from Paimpol FRA in Britanny to Gijon ESP, then back to St-Croix FRA in Southern Britanny, and finally the last leg via the Irish Coast returning to Paimpol FRA.
