The five Volvo 70 have passed the most Eastern point of Brazil yesterday and are now reaching the freshening trade-winds. The boats are now even closer together with 'Puma' (Ken Read USA) leading only 7 miles ahead of 'Camper' (Chris Nicholson NZL) and another 4 miles farther behind 'Telefonica' (Iker Martinez ESP).
