IMOCA Open 60 - Transat B-to-B - Day 9 - Race shortened - Victory for François Gabart
The extremely stormy wind forecast induced the Race Director not only to divert the course, but to abandon the race at the southern safety gate. François Gabart FRA with his 'Macif' crossed the new finish line during the past night, winning a race at his first start in a solo competition. Armel Le Cléac'h FRA ('Banque Populaire') and Vincent Riou FRA ('PRB') will complete the podium in the coming hours. The race-viewer and the reports.
