Three races by fleet were sailed yesterday on the first day of the 420/470 Junior Europeans finals on Lake Garda. In the 470-Boys, Peponnet/Berthier FRA and Sivitz/Farneti ITA are now on equal points on top with a 14 points' advance on Kavas/Kavas GRE 3rd, followed by Masilge/Klingenberg GER on 4th. An excellent 2nd race rank brought Julian Flessati/Tobias Rüdlinger SUI on rank 21. Two teams are tied on top in the 470 Girls fleet as well with Lecointre/Retornaz FRA and Bochmann/Panuschka GER. Szszesna/Mrozek POL and Freeman/Tomsett GBR follow at equal points on rank 3. Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI defended their 8th position.
In the 420s, Pirouelle/Sipan FRA and Ferrari/Calabro ITA share the lead. Wadell/Fernberger USA progressed on rank 3. Baranzini/Colombo SUI are up on rank 10.
