Winning the second race of the day, Tom Slingsby AUS reclaimed the first place overall, as Pavlos Kontides CYP had to content himself with rank 7 and is now 5 points behind Slingsby on rank 2. After 8 races sailed, this duo has quite a lead over the rest of the fleet. Colin Cheng SIN and Alejandro Foglia URU, 2nd and 3rd in race 8, are quite behind in the overall rankings. Tonci Stipanovic CRO as 3rd, Rasmus Mygren SWE 4th and Juan Maegli GUA 5th are the most serious contenders for the Bronze Medal. Two races are left tomorrow to decide on the Medal Race qualification.
