The Interboot is one of the leading Nautical Expositions worldwide, and the Swiss boating industry considers this event as prime platform to present its products and services. The Swiss shore of Lake Constance is long and the common lake joins up.
50 among the 500 exhibitors in Friederichshafen will present 'swiss-made' products at the forthcoming 53rd Interboot from September 20 to 28, 2014. About 20'000 visitors from Switzerland are expected. The Swiss-German cooperation has a long tradition. Already at the first show of the IBO in 1951, Swiss boatbuilders such as Brunnert-Grimm were represented, and at the launching of the new Interboot concept in 1962, Swiss cooperated closely with the organisers of the new show.

In 2004, Schuchter Boats, domiciled at Lake Zurich SUI, created a sensation with the concept of a fast, safe and stable yacht to be sailed in regattas with a small crew. Ten years after, the Esse 850 is a renowned class recognised by Swiss Sailing with over 200 boats on the water and still an upward tendency.
