In the ancient times of Laser racing, John Bertrand USA succeeded to win two Laser World titles in a row 1976 and 77. Age 50+ now, he gave a comeback on the Laser at last year's Miami Olympic Classes Regatta (MOCR) after just one training hour. For this year's edition - the MOCR begins next Monday, a preview follows tomorrow - Bertrand has been preparing his participation more carefully. He gives some interesting comments and comparisons on the development of Laser sailing during the past 40 years in his weblog.
