Olympic Games 2012 - Weymouth GBR - Day 4
Excellent conditions prevailed again on the Olympic waters of Weymouth yesterday with winds between 16 and 18 kn. The two Laser fleets have their lay day today with 6 of the 10 planned races completed each. With Pavlos Kontides CYP in the Lasers Standards and Annalise Murphy IRL in the Lasers Radial, unexpected names are on top of both events. In the 49er however, the favorites Outteridge/Jensen AUS have already a 13 points' lead ahead of Burling/Tuke NZL. Superior leaders are also on top of the RS:X-windsurfers with Dorian Van Rijsselberge NED with the men and Marina Alabau ESP with the women, both having won 3 of the 4 races. The Women Match Race comes to a crucial phase. With an 8-0 score, Olivia Powrie AUS is the first having her quarter final ticket, and Tamara Echegoyen ESP and Ekaterina Skudina RUS are also on a good way. All ranking lists and the reports.
