Olympic Worldcup 2012 - Sail for Gold - Weymouth GBR - Day 5
In the night on Friday, the storm blasted in excess of fifty knots, and by Friday morning, the wind had not abated calling an early end to the Paralympic regatta. The other classes had longer to wait, but at 14:30 racing was called off for the day for everyone, ending the Sail for Gold event for most sailors. Today, the top ten in each Olympic class will race for gold, silver and bronze. In Women Matchrace, the Quarter- and Semi-Finals and the Finals are on the program.
For once, nothing has been decided prematurely. Only Zofia Klepacka POL in the RS:X women windsurfer with a 17 points lead will hardly loose the first place. The 12 points advance of Giles Scott GBR on Ben Ainslie GBR in the Finns seems also insurmountable. All results, the daily report and the video of the day.
