Olympic Worldcup 2012 - Sail for Gold - Weymouth GBR - Day 3 - the Swiss
The windsurfer Richard Stauffacher SUI confirmed his previously demonstrated skills in fresh winds again in Weymouth. With the day ranks 6 and 9 yesterday, he occupies now the 6th rank overall only six points behind the podium ! The fresh breeze will probably prevail for the rest of the event, also to the joy of Nathalie Brugger SUI in the Laser Radial, who realised the excellent ranks 2 and 8 yesterday in her group and advanced on position 17 overall, a Goldfleet place. Manon Luther SUI however on rank 50 will continue in the Silverfleet. Thanks to the discarded black-flag-disqualifiction, Flavio Marazzi/Enrico De Maria SUI moved up on rank 9 in the Starboats. Chatagny/Hagin SUI and Niklaus/Koy SUI follow as the only non-Olympians on the ranks 16 and 17. Yannick Brauchli/Romuald Hausser SUI continued with solid mid-fleet finishes in the 470, but as 25th of the 45 participants, they did not qualify for the Goldfleet. The two Swiss Laser sailors will also remain in the Silverfleet. Christoph Bottoni SUI is 53rd, Guillaume Girod SUI 82nd of the 94 participants. The results.
