Olympic Worldcup 2012 - Sail for Gold - Weymouth GBR - Day 2 - the Swiss
After the light wind of day one, the British cold and wet weather arrived with a fresher breeze, conditions that apparently suited well the windsurfer Richard Stauffacher SUI who was among the best of the day with the ranks 3 and 4, advancing on rank 9 overall. Back again was also the Laser Radial sailor Nathalie Brugger SUI after her failed first race day, as the day ranks 4 and 5 helped her to move up on rank 26 overall. Rather descrete the day for Marazzi/De Maria SUI in the Starboats. With the ranks 13 and 5, as well as a blackflag-early-start disqualification, they are down on rank 11 of the small 20 boats' Star fleet. Yannick Brauchli/Romuald Hausser SUI stayed in the mid-fleet with two 13th places yesterday, bringing them on rank 23 overall. Off track however the two Swiss Lasers with Christoph Bottoni SUI on position 54 and Guillaume Girod SUI rank 74. The results and the official report.
