Strictly Sail Pacific – All sailboats all the time at Oakland’s Jack London Square
The West Coast's largest all-sailboat show is about to open in Oakland's Jack London Square. Check out boats new and used, large and small, get on the water or attend some of the more than 100 seminars (free with paid admission). Meet celebrity sailors and authors, check out our exclusive women's seminar, learn all about navigation, boat maintenance, passage planning and cooking aboard, and discover exciting new sailing destinations. Presenters include US Sailing Team match racer Genny Tulloch on Racing Rules, sailmaker Kame Richards with Tides and Currents in San Francisco Bay, George Day with the Ten Things They never Tell You About the Cruising Life, Bob Bitchin on Cruising the Big Blue Ball Called Earth and Sailing News Editor Dieter Loibner on Sustainable Sailing.
There are plenty of accompanying events too, including sailing on the schooner Seaward, Mercury and Snipe regattas, fun Opti sailing for kids, Discover Sailing trips on the Estuary, the Fun Zone of small boats and a free cruise on the research sailing ketch Derek M Baylis. See the full program.
