The Medal Races of this first edition of the EUROSAF Youth Sailing European Championships 2012, sailed in 10-12 kn breeze, concluded the event, organised in Aarhuus DEN. In the Lasers Radial Girls, Celine Carlsen DEN reclaimed rank 1 from Floridia Joynee ITA in the Medal Race. Line-Flem Höst NOR takes Bronze. Maud Jayet SUI finished the competition on rank 15. Henrik Begby NOR defended his first position in the Lasers Radial Boys, and Joseph Beckett GBR replaced Hemsdorff DEN on rank 2. Jocelyn Keller SUI finished on rank 20. The title in the 29ers went to Fredrik Just/Markus Nielsen DEN. Winning the Medal Race, Sara Piasecka/Marek Kalinowski POL climbed on rank 2 overall. Ole Kuck/Niclas Kath GER are 3rd. In the 420, the titles went to Marella/Rossi ITA in the Boys, and Addari/Perini ITA in the Girls. Saskia Sills GBR took the title in the RS:X windsurfers Girls and Joseph Bennett GBR in the Boys. All classes sailed again two races yesterday in Aarhus, terminating the qualification phase. Today, the Medal Races are on the program. In the Radial Girls, Floridia Joyee ITA reclaimed the top and she is now 8 points ahead of Céline Carlsson DEN. Maud Jayet SUI (bfd and 9th yesterday) is 16th and will not be in the Medal Race. Henrik Begby NOR and Tobias Hemdorff DEN are separated by one point only on top of the Radial Boys. Jocelyn Keller SUI dropped on rank 20. In the 29ers, Just/Nielsen DEN extended their lead on Meggendorfer/Spranger GER at 8 points. In the 420-Girls, Addari/Perini ITA remain on top, while in the 420er Boys, Marella/Rossi ITA are new on top with two race wins. Yesterday was day one of the newly created Youth Sailing European Championship in Aarhus DEN with the same events as at the ISAF Youth Worlds. Two races were sailed by class. Unfortunately, the Organisers have not been able to post readable results or other information on their website. Perhaps you, dear reader, have more luck to cecipher the posted image-files on you display ! In the 29ers, a German Team is leading ahead of two Danish teams. In the 420-Girls, Bettoni/Carluaccio ITA are ahead of Addari/Perini ITA. A 1/ 2 ITA lead exists also in the 420-Boys with Di Lucco/Russo ITA on top of the very small fleet, as the best 420 just finished their Worlds yesterday in Austria (bad planning from the side of EUROSAF). Noelle Finch GBR is on top of the RS:X Girls and Joseph Bennet GBR is the best RS:X Boy so far. A Norvegian girl leads in the Laser Radial Girls. In the Radial Boys, an Irishman is on rank 1. Yesterday was day one of the newly created Youth Sailing European Championship in Aarhus DEN with the same events as at the ISAF Youth Worlds. Two races were sailed by class yesterday. Unfortunately, the Organisers have not been able to post readable results or other information on their website. Perhaps your, dear reader, have more luck to cecipher the posted image-files on you display ! In the 29ers, a German Team is leading ahead of two Danish teams. The Medal Races of this first edition of the EUROSAF Youth Sailing European Championships 2012, sailed in 10-12 kn breeze, concluded the event, organised in Aarhuus DEN. In the Lasers Radial Girls, Celine Carlsen DEN reclaimed rank 1 from Floridia Joynee ITA in the Medal Race. Line-Flem Höst NOR takes Bronze. Maud Jayet SUI finished the competition on rank 15. Henrik Begby NOR defended his first position in the Lasers Radial Boys, and Joseph Beckett GBR replaced Hemsdorff DEN on rank 2. Jocelyn Keller SUI finished on rank 20. The title in the 29ers went to Fredrik Just/Markus Nielsen DEN. Winning the Medal Race, Sara Piasecka/Marek Kalinowski POL climbed on rank 2 overall. Ole Kuck/Niclas Kath GER are 3rd.
