The Alcati Slalom Worldcup ended yesterday with a last race, and again, Antoine Albeau FRA and Sarah-Quita Offringa NED (Aruba) had the upper hand, finishing also on top of the overall men and women rankings at the Turkish South coast. Ben van der Steen NED and Björn Dunkerbeck SUI occupy the ranks 2 and 3, and Dunkerbeck defended his first place in the annual Worldcup standings. In the women, Valérie Arighetti FRA and Karin Jaggi SUI are on the positions 2 and 3, and with this, Arighetti FRA replaced Karin Jaggi SUI on top of the annual rankings, i.e. the first place in the Slalom Worldcup, and at the same time taking the World Champion's title. The seabreeze was absent during the whole day and only in the evening, a little thermal wind allowed the men to sail two heats of the Freestyle Double Elimination. All details on the PWA-website.

Good conditions prevailed allowing to conclude the first Freestyler Single Elimination. The winners are well known names with José Estredo VEN defeating Tonky Frans NED in the men's final, while Sarah-Quita Offringa NED (Aruba) is once more on top of the women's winning the final over Laure Tréboux SUI. After 5 days with Men's Slaloms, the Freestylers began their competition yesterday with the first eliminations. The wind filled in late and only 15 heats could be completed with the favorites on the winning side. All further details on the PWA-website.

Only for a few moments in the morning, the breeze was sufficient for some more slalom heats, but the competition had to be abandoned without any results. The Tuesday rankings remain therefore unchanged with Finian Maynard BVI on rank 1 ahead of Ben Van der Steen NED and Antoine Albeau FRA as final rankings of the Slalom event. The Wave Worldcup of the Professional Windsurfers continued yesterday on Teneriffa ESP with - initially - a 25 kn breeze decreasing lateron, and good breakers. The men completed already 14 heats in the Single-Elimination, and all favorites are still in the race. More details on the PWA-website.
