Rutger Van Schaardenburg NED in the Standards and Krystal Weir AUS in the Radials demonstrated yesterday their superiority both winning the Medal Races of the Medemblik ISAF Worldcup Regatta. Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA and Roelof Bouwmeester NED complete the Standard podium. In the Radials, Tina Mihelic CRO and Mathilde de Kerangeat FRA finished on the ranks 2 and 3 overall. Leader in the Standards, despite a premature start, remains Rutger Van Schaardenburg NED, earning the Dutch Olympic ticket early. Second-ranked is at present Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA, with Roelof Bouwmeester NED on rank 3. With the ranks 2/2/1/1, Krystal Weir AUS was the superior best of the day yesterday, taking the clear first overall place in the Lasers Radial. Leader changes and some thrilling initial situations for today's Medal Races are the result of the races of Friday completed in a good 15 kn breeze. Snow-Hansen/Saunders NZL remain the leaders in the 470 with a 4 points' advantage on Ger/Flannigan IRL. The new leader in the Finns is Caleb Paine USA with Aleksej Selivanov RUS 3 points behind. No news with the RS:X windsurfers where Shahar Zubari ISR is the dominating athlete with 7 wins in 10 races taking the Israeli Olympic ticket with this outstanding performance. Zubari was the Olympic Bronze Medal winner at the 2008 Games in Qingdao. Omer Safer ISR and Louis-Benoit Hug FRA follow on the positions 2 and 3. In the female windsurfers, the duo Jannicke Stalstrom NOR and Victoria Chan HKG shares the lead. In the Paralympic 2.4 mR, two sailors on top have the same number of points: Thierry Schmitter NED and Megan Pascoe GBR. Third is Helena Lucas GBR three points behind. For the first time, the Lasers Radial joined the competition, and after four races, Tina Mihelic CRO is on top closely followed by Krystal Weir AUS and Marketa Audyova CZE. Leaders in the 470 are Snow-Hanson/Saunders NZL in front of Ger/Flannigan IRL. 17 teams racing. Pieter-Jan Postma NED, in a brand-new Finn, leads in the Finns with a small margin over Matt Coutts NZL. Shahar Zubari ISR remains the clear leader in the RS:X-Windsurfers ahead of - new - Omer Safer ISR, closely followed by Louis-Benoít Hug FRA. On the first place in the RS:X-female windsurfers is again Jannicke Stalstroem NOR ahead of Victoria Chan HKG and Flavia Tartaglini. On top of the two Paralymp classes racing are Bruno Jourdren FRA nd his team in the Sonars, and Megan Pascoe GBR in the 2.4 mR, replacing the local Thierry Schmitter NED on rank 1. The new leader in the Dutch duel for the Olympic selection is Roelof Bouwmeester NED who took over the first place two points ahead of Rutger Van Schaardenburg NED with the day ranks 2/6/2. No news with the RS:X windsurfers where Shahar Zubari ISR is the dominating athlete with 7 wins in 10 races taking the Israeli Olympic ticket with this outstanding performance. Zubari was the Olympic Bronze Medal winner at the 2008 Games in Qingdao. Omer Safer ISR and Louis-Benoit Hug FRA follow on the positions 2 and 3. In the female windsurfers, the duo Jannicke Stalstrom NOR and Victoria Chan HKG shares the lead. The Lasers Standard continued their Medemblik ISAF Worldcup event on the Ijssel Meer yesterday in light winds with the races 7 and 8. For the first time, the Lasers Radial joined the competition, and after four races, Tina Mihelic CRO is on top closely followed by Krystal Weir AUS and Marketa Audyova CZE. Position one change in the Dutch duel for the Laser Standard Olympic Nations' berth, where Rutger Van Schaardenburg NED winning both heats yesterday reclaimed rank 1 from Roelof Bouwmeester NED. The Medemblik ISAF Worldcup continued yesterday afternoon after some waiting on the Ijssel Meer with light winds. A 470 Open fleet, as well as the Finns have now joined the competition. Leaders in the 470 are Snow-Hanson/Saunders NZL in front of Ger/Flannigan IRL. 17 teams racing. Pieter-Jan Postma NED, in a brand-new Finn, leads in the Finns with a small margin over Matt Coutts NZL. Shahar Zubari ISR remains the clear leader in the RS:X-Windsurfers ahead of - new - Omer Safer ISR, closely followed by Louis-Benoít Hug FRA. On the first place in the RS:X-female windsurfers is again Jannicke Stalstroem NOR ahead of Victoria Chan HKG and Flavia Tartaglini. On top of the two Paralymp classes racing are Bruno Jourdren FRA nd his team in the Sonars, and Megan Pascoe GBR in the 2.4 mR, replacing the local Thierry Schmitter NED on rank 1. The 5th ISAF Worldcup event on the Ijssel-Meer continued yesterday with three more races, sailed in a light breeze. The new leader in the Dutch duel for the Olympic selection is Roelof Bouwmeester NED who took over the first place two points ahead of Rutger Van Schaardenburg NED with the day ranks 2/6/2.
