With a freshening breeze announced for the day by the weather forecasters, the 14 Swiss M2-catamaran (up to 28 ft) sailing their first sea regatta, began the competition early in the morning. After three short races as part of the GP, they started finally to the 15 miles Raid of Porquerolles in a 25 kn wind with 'Spam' steered by the twio-times Olympian Charles Favre SUI as winner. 'Safram' with Jean-François Mourniac FRA defended the overall lead in the GP de la Méditerrannée with solid day ranks. The report
