Tight duels on the final day of the Korea with Björn Dunkerbeck SUI in the men's category and Valérie Arrighetti Ghibaudo FRA in the women's as winners at the end of the day. The wind from the shore was again very puffy and shifty, and some heats even had to be abandoned. Some favorites parked in lulls and were eliminated unresistingly. In the first Elimination round of the day, Björn Dunkerbeck starting for Switzerland defeated the World Champion Antoine Albeau FRA in a tight finish by some centimeters. Albeau flopped in the second Elimination and could not qualify for the final. A third place was sufficient for Dunkerbeck to take the overall lead before the last heats today.
In the women's competition, Valérie Arrighetti Ghibaudo FRA continued brilliantly extending her lead further.

Gusty winds between 7 and 20 kn made it difficult to select the best sail for the slalom eliminations yesterday in Korea. The day victories went ot Lise Vidal FRA with the ladies and Ben Van der Steen BEL with the men. Antoine Albeau FRA and Valerie Arrighetti Ghibaudo FRA remained on top of the interims rankings. The Slalom Worldcup event in Ulsan KOR began in seabreeze conditions typical for this time of the season, with a steady 25 kn wind. Four preliminary heats were completed and the favorites qualified in the men's and women's fleets for the next round. Among the participants also the Slalom World Champion Karin Jaggi SUI, who is the last of the 'oldies' competing against the upcoming new generation. The first Slalom-Weltcup victory this year went in favour of the young Sara-Quita Offringa from Aruba. The PWA-website.
